Insurance and Payment Options
Understanding your insurance coverage should feel clear and manageable. Valor Counseling and Holistic Services accepts several insurance plans for eligible counseling services in Longmont, Colorado.
Because benefits vary between plans, we encourage you to verify your coverage before beginning services. We are also happy to help you understand the questions to ask your insurance company.
Insurance Plans Billed Through Headway
Valor uses Headway to manage insurance verification, claims, and client billing for the following plans:
Aetna
Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield Colorado
Anthem EAP — Expanded
Anthem EAP — Standard
Carelon Behavioral Health
Cigna
Providence Health Plan
Select Health Colorado
Select Health Colorado Medicare Advantage
If your insurance is billed through Headway, you will receive an email inviting you to create a secure Headway account. You will use this account to provide your insurance and payment information, review estimated session costs, and access billing records.
Headway’s estimate is based on the insurance information available at the time. Your final financial responsibility may change after your insurance company processes the claim.
Insurance Plans Billed Directly by Valor
Valor directly manages claims and billing for:
Health First Colorado (Medicaid / Title XIX) through Colorado Access
UnitedHealthcare commercial plans
UnitedHealthcare Dual Complete
UnitedHealthcare Group Medicare Advantage
Confirming Your Insurance Benefits
Being listed as an accepted insurance plan does not guarantee that every service or provider is covered under your individual policy.
Before your first appointment, contact the member-services number on your insurance card and ask:
Is my selected Valor provider in-network?
Are outpatient mental-health services covered?
Do I have a deductible that must be met?
What is my copay or coinsurance?
Do I need a referral or prior authorization?
Are telehealth sessions covered?
Is there a limit on the number of covered sessions?
Insurance benefits and provider networks can change. Your insurance company is the final authority regarding eligibility, coverage, and your financial responsibility.
Self-Pay and Sliding-Scale Options
Self-payment is available for services that are not covered by insurance or when a client chooses not to use insurance benefits. Payments may be made using a credit or debit card.
Sliding-scale fees are available for counseling services and are based on household income and the number of people in the household. Please contact Valor for more information about eligibility and any information needed to determine your fee.
Coverage for Our Services
Insurance coverage depends on the service being provided, the practitioner’s credentials, and your individual plan.
Counseling services may be eligible for insurance coverage. Coverage for hypnotherapy, holistic nursing, coaching, and other wellness services varies and will require self-payment.
Please contact us before scheduling if you have questions about coverage for a particular service.
Not Sure Where to Begin?
You don’t have to figure everything out alone. Contact Valor and tell us which insurance plan you have and what kind of support you are seeking. We’ll help you identify an appropriate next step.
